The Barkfast Club was created especially for our canine clients who have a bit too much “enthusiasm” when out on leash in public. Some react out of fear, others from sheer excitement, but all present their owners with the same challenge: being able to walk down the street without having to change directions every time another dog comes into view.

The most respected trainers and behaviorists around the world agree that success in changing this behavior can NOT be achieved without CONSISTENT and FREQUENT opportunities to practice being calm around other dogs under CONTROLLED settings that set your dog up for success.

The Barkfast Club offers these opportunities via focused, trainer-directed "Group Therapy" sessions in a friendly, non-judgmental environment. You'll meet other pet parents who are working on the same issues in the same way, so you can even arrange your own private practice sessions outside of the group.

PREREQUISITES:  To participate in The Barkfast Club, you must have gone through private training with Instant Karma for on-leash reactivity and be able to maintain your dog's focus within sight of other dogs. Your dog should be fairly solid with: Sit, Down, Stay, and Look/Watch Me. If you've received training elsewhere or it’s been a while since we’ve worked together, an assessment and/or preliminary private coaching may be required to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all club members. Standard fees will apply for any prerequisite training needed.Our legal folks require us to have all members sign a Liability Waiver, which will be provided at or prior to your first class.

Instant Karma reserves the right to determine that a dog is not appropriate for this activity at any time, for any reason.

FORMAT & SCHEDULE:
To ensure the best possible chance for significant and lasting change, we require an initial commitment to six (6) consective weekly sessions. You can repeat as many 6-week classes as you need or want. After 12 consecutive weeks, you'll also have special drop-in privileges, so you can sign up for individual sessions any time you'd like, subject to space availability.

Class size:   Minimum 3 / maximum 6. One dog per handler!
Time:   Wednesday nights from 6:45 - 7:30 pm
Location:   Various outdoor locations in South/Central OC, TBA
Cost:   $140 for 6 consecutive weeks (that's less that $25 per session!)
