Success Stories

Faith is our go-to trainer when it comes to fixing dog problems! Her positive, reward-based training methods along with her calm, easy and creative approach to problem-solving gets results and makes learning fun for both the dogs and their owners. From basic dog manners and housebreaking to tougher problems like separation anxiety, fear and reactivity, Faith covers it all.

Each year, we rescue hundreds of dogs of all breeds, sizes, backgrounds and personalities. Faith is a pro at helping us assess and understand our rescue dogs so we can help them become more confident, happy, mannerly and, ultimately, adoptable!

We often rely on Faith to help ensure a smooth transition with certain adoptions, or we recommend her to adopters who contact us because their dogs have developed unacceptable behaviors. After training sessions with Faith, it's not uncommon for adopters to tell us that Faith worked miracles!

Our rescue wouldn't be nearly as successful if it weren't for Faith and her unique ability to bring out the best in our dogs and all of us who love them.

Words can’t really express what Faith has done for Molly and me, but I will try....

I adopted Molly from Irvine Shelter. She is a boxer/pit bull mix and was a handful. She had separation anxiety and was very energetic. Molly and I had a very bad start at another training facility. I work full time and needed to take her to doggie daycare. I also needed help training her since I have not had a big dog and didn’t know how to work with her. When (the other facility) evaluated her they told me she was dog aggressive and they would keep her in a kennel and train her every day for 30 minutes. She was there for about 8 weeks and instead of getting better she became more anxious and unhappy. The owner told me she might never be able to be around other dogs. This was very upsetting as Molly is my companion and I wanted to take her everywhere with me.

Faith was recommended to me by my friend Wendy and believe me I am so fortunate to have found her. She realized right away that Molly wasn’t dog aggressive -- just starved from no contact with other dogs, and being young did not know how to meet and greet other dogs. Faith helped Molly learn how to be around other dogs. She really is able to assess and understand our canine friends. She truly connected to Molly and with her expertise Molly has become a wonderful dog! She “trained” me, as well, and gave me the confidence to continue working with Molly to help her be the awesome dog Faith knew she could be!

Faith is a wealth of knowledge and is not stuck on one way of training. She works with you and finds the training and tricks that work for you and your dog. Molly and I are truly blessed to have worked with her!

I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate you going over and beyond what I'm sure are your normal job tasks with trianing. I feel like you're a family member to us with the ways you take the extra time to show you care. You are one amazing woman, with an amazing amount of compassion, love, and patience in what you do! Elizabeth, the dog walker, said Tuaca was the best Boxer she has ever walked and was totally impressed!

I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for everything you did for our family. All of us, not just Buddy, needed a training tune-up and that is exactly what you provided. Not only do we see considerable positive changes in Buddy's behavior, but more importantly, he is a happier and more fulfilled dog in our home. You and your expertise were a true gift to our family as a whole, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Please feel free to use our names as a reference. We cannot say enough wonderful things about you and your services.

Faith is one of the most caring and informative dog trainers I have ever met. I learned more from her in our 3 meetings than I have from anyone else. I have a rescue that I thought I would never be able to take for a walk without him pulling my arm off. He now walks right next to me with his leash and my arm relaxed at all times. I am so thankful to Faith for giving me this opportunity to really enjoy my sweet boy. Thanks again Faith:)

On May 13, 2009 we adopted Bentley, our fantastic new child, and on May 18, we hired Faith. Although we have had many pets we were not sure of ourselves with such a large pup. Faith was amazing as she taught us everything necessary for his graduation of Puppy 101/Basic Obedience Training. She answered every question with a positive unique solution. This was true from the beginning when we first met Faith and she ultimately became a wonderful, great friend to Bentley. But most importantly, we hired Faith to teach us how to train Bentley. She did just that. We now have the confidence to raise Bentley into an awesome dog. If not for Faith, our household would be turned upside down. Thanks again for the recommendation of Faith Brill and Instant Karma Dog Training. Fantastic person. Fantastic dog trainer.

I was referred by one of your (shelter) volunteers to Faith Brill for dog training. Not only was she a delight, but after only ONE session, she changed our dog's behavior! Thank you, Faith -- we truly love our dog even more!
